For the NXDN reflector, you must update your MMDVM.ini to include:

IMPORTANT: Do not forget for your NXDN tests to replace the usual "MMDVM" files with those of the experimental "MMDVM-nxdn" available in the Github Branch of G4KLX:

This page is about homebrewing an (almost) easy to build MMDVM HotSpot module for Raspberry Pi - type B.

After successfully finishing three boards of those wonderfull miniature HS hats for Rasbberry Pi-zeroW, designed by Mathis, DB9MAT and Florian, DF2ET , I decided to draw a simmilar, however bigger HS hat board, that would fit a normal sized (type B) Raspberry Pi mini computer. Although a bigger size does barely mean an improvement when discussing HotSpot solutions, there is one big advantge - bigger board allows implementation of bigger and therefore easyer handleable SMD components.

This utility includes firmwares binaries and USB drivers for Windows 7/8/10. If you have problems with the installer, you can download ZUMspotFW.zip for a manual installation.

For specific details about the firmware installation, check these instructions. The process is similar to the installation on the ZumSpot Pi.
Enable the following settings in Config.h:
#define MMDVM_HS_HAT_REV12
#define ENABLE_ADF7021
#define ADF7021_14_7456
#define STM32_USART1_HOST
#define ENABLE_SCAN_MODE
Build the firmware:
make
And finally upload the firmware to the MMDVM_HS_Hat:
sudo make mmdvm_hs_hat

Just discover you can VHF (144-148 MHz) support for ZUMSpot by an external 18 nH inductor between L1 and L2 pins of ADF7021. This will enable dual band (VHF/UHF) operation.

This project provides a Raspberry Pi Hat for the MMDVM_HS Hotspot. It was designed for the Raspberry Pi Zero, but should work on any other Pi with the Hat interface. ... It can carry a Raspberry Pi Zero (W) with MMDVM_HS_Hat (SMA) on top.

How to Identify a Genuine MMDVM HS Hat by florian Wolters.

To help distinguish between an orginal #MMDVM_HS_Hat and a clone have a look at the two pics below. The first one is an original board revision 1.2 manufactured by us.  It has the name “MMDVM_HS_Hat” on it in the upper right part. The silkscreen is properly placed and our callsigns are clearly readable. In addition to that there is the Open Source Hardware (OSHW) logo on the lower left.

The next picture shows the clone. It is only revision 1.1 and has misplaced silkscreen in the area of our callsings. The OSHW logo was removed as well as the “_HS” suffix on the name. Secondly it seems as if the RF parts are of poor quality. The picture is courtesy of Lindsay, VK2AMV.
